Effectiveness of Training Program to Improve Self-efficacy of Teachers of Students with Mental Disabilities Who are Able to Learn
(Applied Study on Teachers of Disability Schools ,Gezira State - Sudan)
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program to improve teachers self-efficacy of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn, and to know the statistically significant differences between teachers' answers in improving the self-efficacy of teachers of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn before and after the application of the training program, and to identify statistically significant differences among the teachers' answers about improving teachers self-efficacy of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn is due to the study variables type of teacher, qualification, type of qualification, and experience. The study used a quasi-experimental method, the training program and the test as tools for it that represent the study population in the teachers of special education working in schools with mental disabilities - Gezira State - Sudan, and the study was taken a random sample of working special education teachers at Gezira School for Special Needs, there are twelve male and female teachers, three male and nine female teachers the results were analyzed by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program, and the study concluded that there are statistically significant differences between teachers' answers about improving teachers self-efficacy of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn before and after the application of the training program, in favor of teachers' answers after applying the program , There are also statistically significant differences between teachers’ answers after applying the program due to the teacher’s experience, in favor of teachers with experience (0-5) years, and there are no statistically significant differences between teachers’ answers due to the teacher’s type, qualification, and type of qualification and the study recommends establishing specialized training courses and workshops for teachers in special education schools, and necessity to rehabilitate them.
