Developing a Crisis Management Mechanism in Various Public and Private Sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Abstract
The study aims to study, analyze and evaluate the development of the crisis management mechanism with its dimensions (information and communication, optimal utilization of available resources, team spirit, and training) and its impact on the performance of public and private sectors in its dimensions (production, manufacturing, growth, unemployment rate, and capacity utilization) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study relied on the descriptive analytical method. In order to collect the primary data for the study, a questionnaire consisting of twenty four items was prepared and disturbed randomly to a sample of (500 )workers in the public and private sectors . In order to determine the effects between the independent and dependent study variables, the results were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, using Amos Ver.24 programming. The study revealed that the general trend towards the reality of crisis management requirements in the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was high with a grand mean of (4.075), where the arithmetic averages of the dimensions of crisis management requirements ranged between (3.968 - 4.147). It also found that the general trend towards the level of the public and private sectors performance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general was high with an arithmetic average of (4.048), where the arithmetic averages of the dimensions of performance of public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranged between (3.943 - 4.167). The study recommends the need to adopt the model related to the development of crisis management requirements in the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to manage and respond to crises.
