Abstract

Technical materials and advancements have enabled us to develop ideal interior design solutions that stem from the specific requirements of our reality, defined by the levels of the system, to achieve high aesthetics in addition to their functionality. The interior designer, as a problem solver of interior spaces, identifies the needs of their space (functional and aesthetic) to formulate their design solution through interactive technical design. Their objectives involve employing technological products, including materials and innovative techniques, as one of their design mechanisms. They also determine their diverse implementation methods, reflecting the variety of modern technologies, to arrive at innovative design solutions with an aesthetic impact that embodies the spirit of their time. We ask the following question, which reflects the research problem: (What is the aesthetic impact of technical design in interior spaces?) This research study seeks to define the aesthetic impact of technical design and its application methods in contemporary interior designs. The study includes:

Two sections: Section One: The aesthetics of design between traditional design principles and modern design and implementation techniques.

The second section addresses technical design and its interior design applications. The research employed a descriptive approach, carefully selecting technical design models to align with the study's objectives. This led to several key conclusions, including:

  1. The aesthetic impact of technical design reflects the collaboration between the designer and the products of today's technology, including materials and digital design software.
  2. Design using modern technologies allows interior designers to easily create designs that move away from traditional approaches while maintaining aesthetic appeal and functionality.
  3. Modern design technologies offer a variety of design solutions, enabling the selection of optimal solutions.
