The Impact of the Interaction Between (Video, Project) Based Learning and The Self-Learning Skill Through Educational Platforms in Addressing Educational Wastage During the Education Crisis

Abstract
The educational Wastage refers to the loss of learning opportunities, stagnation of learning during a certain period, loss of previously learned material, or failure to achieve desired learning outcomes. Therefore, this research aims to answer the following question: What is the impact of the interaction between the learning styles based on (video, project), and the skill of self-learning through educational platforms (for both high and low skilled students) in addressing the educational Wastage during the COVID-19 pandemic among middle school student? To answer this question, a 2x2 factorial experimental design was used, with the research tool being the educational Wastage test applied to a sample of 60 students. The research found several results, including that addressing the educational Wastage through educational platforms requires the student to be proficient in some competencies or self-learning skills through electronic educational platforms such as the “Madaresati” platform or dealing with some programs such as “Microsoft Teams”, which support student learning regardless of the learning style adopted by the teacher. The research also presented several recommendations, such as taking advantage of the available technological infrastructure in addressing the educational deficit and in learning in general, especially during times of crisis. Moreover, the study recommends directing those responsible for the educational process to address the exacerbation of the educational loss. Future studies are proposed to experiment the impact of modern educational strategies that keep pace with technological developments in addressing the educational loss, as well as conducting similar studies using different electronic educational platforms.
