Measuring Students' Attitudes towards Using the Blackboard E-learning Management System in their Learning of the Basics of Women's Fashion Design Course

Abstract

The research aims to measure female students’ attitudes towards using the Blackboard e-learning management system and develop the students’ skill performance in the Foundations of Women’s Fashion Design course using the Blackboard e-learning management system.

The basic research sample consisted of female students in the third year (fifth level) of the Fashion Design Department - College of Design, numbering (84). The current research followed the descriptive analytical method used in the theoretical framework, surveying the opinions of the female students in measuring attitudes, analyzing the research hypotheses, and the quasi-experimental method in the experimental study of the research that It is based on pre-/post-tests. The research tools included an attitude scale to measure female students’ attitudes, an observation card to measure performance, and a rating scale to evaluate skill performance. The results resulted in statistically significant differences between the total pre-application of the attitude scale and the total post-application at the 0.01 level in favor of the post-test. Which indicates that achieving its goal with regard to its ability to develop logical, reasonable and positive attitudes towards using the e-learning management system Blackboard. There are statistically significant differences between both the pre-test and the post-test for the experimental lessons at the level of 0.01 in favor of the post-test, which indicates To acquire skills for female students.
